What customers find before they call you

A search, a map listing, a review, an old post, or an AI assistant's answer: that's your first impression. This self-check walks you through what they see.

Built for businesses that have been at it a while: a website with bookings, a shop or a blog, and years of information about you spread across the internet.

  • 22 checks in 8 short sections
  • About 15 minutes with your phone and a search engine
  • Your answers stay on this page unless you send them to me

What you get when you finish

A score out of 100

Based only on what you could answer. Anything you're not sure about goes on a separate list to check, instead of counting against you.

A two-page report

Page one: your score and where to start. Page two: every fix, and anything you still need to check.

Fixes in the right order

Anything that stops customers reaching you or buying comes first, then what they see, then what keeps it current.

What it checks

One section at a time. You can go back and change any answer.

    Get a free Visibility Review

Leave your website and I'll check it for you, including what you can't easily see yourself:

    • Search results for your name and for what you do in your town
    • Your Google Business Profile and listings, checked one by one
    • Reviews and your social channels
    • News, partner sites and other places that mention you
    • What AI assistants say when someone asks about businesses like yours

Free, within 2 business days. Your Visibility Review comes by email: your score, how each area scored, a ranked fix list, and a page showing what I checked, with links. I review every one myself before it goes out, and I'll follow up about it by email. You won't be added to a newsletter.

I use these details only to prepare and send your review and to follow up about it. How I handle your details.

    How I handle your details

    • The Visibility Check runs in your browser. Your answers aren't sent anywhere unless you use the form above to send them to me.
    • If you send your website, I receive your business name, website, town, your name and email, and your self-check answers if you leave that box ticked. Your internet address isn't stored.
    • I use them to research your business's public information, prepare your report, email it to you, and follow up about it. I don't sell or share them, and I don't add you to a newsletter.
    • They're kept in my own private business system. To have them deleted, email carolyn@practicaltech.online and I'll remove them.
    • This page sets no cookies. Your browser remembers your light or dark setting, and keeps your answers in this tab until you close it, so a reload doesn't lose them. Neither leaves your browser.
